美術館やギャラリーの真っ白な空間を、俗に「ホワイトキューブ」といいますが、”SP2 New Born”シリーズの展示空間はその真逆で、「ブラックキューブ」でした。これはどちらかというと博物館の展示形態に近く、「動物標本」を連想させるこの作品には非常にマッチした設計といえるでしょう。個人的な博物館への興味を抜きにしても、こうした展示を見ると日本の美術の未来についても考えさせられます。
